The Norwegian public school was opened in 2013 and offers the education to approximately 360 students and hires 48 experienced teachers who provide high quality education with English as the medium of instruction. AIS is an authorised by the International Baccalaureate world school in the PYP and the MYP. The school creates a truly international environment for its students from over 25 nationalities and aims to assist each student to develop to his/her full potential. The transdisciplinary curriculum of the PYP prepares students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and have the capacity to participate in the world around them. AIS focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both within and beyond the classroom. Moreover, the school promotes formative assessment, learning strategies for students and application of knowledge. They are enthusiastic about sharing the best strategies of innovative teaching methods.
